Jude Bellingham scored twice as England came from behind to beat Norway 2-1 after extra time and book their place in the World Cup semi-final on Saturday.
Bellingham once again proved England's match-winner, cancelling out Andreas Schjelderup's first-half opener before striking the decisive goal in extra time to end Norway's impressive tournament run in Miami.
Norway stunned Thomas Tuchel's side in the 36th minute when Schjelderup unleashed a fierce strike that flew in off the far post, leaving Jordan Pickford with no chance.
England struggled to create clear openings for much of the opening period, but Bellingham delivered once more on the stroke of half-time. Collecting Anthony Gordon's pass, he drove into the penalty area before calmly firing a left-footed effort beyond Orjan Nyland to restore parity.
The Three Lions nearly completed the turnaround before the interval when Harry Kane finished neatly over Nyland, only for the offside flag to cut short the celebrations.
Tuchel responded at the break by introducing Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze, but Norway remained a threat and thought they had regained the lead midway through the second half. Torbjørn Heggem bundled home from a corner, only for the goal to be ruled out following a VAR review after Erling Haaland was adjudged to have fouled Elliott Anderson before the delivery.
Norway continued to push forward and came agonisingly close to a winner when Kristoffer Ajer struck the crossbar after England failed to clear another dangerous set piece.
With temperatures remaining above 30 degrees Celsius in humid conditions, both sides visibly tired as the contest drifted into extra time.
England eventually found the breakthrough in the first period of the additional 30 minutes. Substitute Morgan Rogers let fly from distance and Norwegian goalkeeper Nyland could only parry the effort into the path of Bellingham, who reacted quickest to slot home his second goal of the evening and sixth of the tournament.
England were briefly awarded a penalty moments later after Djed Spence went down in the area, but VAR overturned the decision.
Norway were unable to mount another response as England held firm to secure their place in the last four.
Bellingham's latest match-winning display continued his outstanding tournament, having also scored twice in England's dramatic 3-2 victory over Mexico in the round of 16.
England will now face either Argentina or Switzerland in the semi-final as they continue their pursuit of a first World Cup title since 1966, while Norway depart the tournament after a memorable run on the biggest stage.
