Rizwan in the runs as Pakistan beat Hong Kong
Pakistan prepared for the first Twenty20 international against England this week by easing to a warm-up win over Hong Kong.
Mohammad Rizwan made an unbeaten half-century as Pakistan secured an emphatic 64-run win over Hong Kong in Dubai on Monday ahead of the Twenty20 international series against England.
Pakistan suffered a 3-1 one-day international series defeat to England and will be out for revenge when the three-match T20 starts on Thursday.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Rizwan failed with the bat in the ODI series, but returned to form with a brisk 55 not out from only 38 balls as Pakistan made 167-7 after Shahid Afridi won the toss and elected to bat first.
Aamer Yamin chipped in with 27, Rafatullah Mohmand and Sohaib Maqsood made 25 apiece with Pakistan-born Haseeb Amjad (3-38) and teenager Anshy Rath (2-30) the pick of the Hong Kong bowlers.
Hong Kong slumped to 11-2 in reply and lost eight wickets for 40 runs as they were all out for 103 with 17 balls remaining, well short of the target at the ICC Academy.
Bilal Asif (2-13) and Afridi (2-21) both took two wickets apiece for the designated hosts, who have won their last six T20 internationals ahead of the series against England.
