At just 18 years old, Jaradchai Maxjandee has done something very few fighters manage in their first year on the global stage — he has been perfect. In his three ONE Championship appearances, he has earned a trio of knockout victories and performance bonuses for his efforts.

Now, he steps into the main event of ONE Friday Fights 161 on July 10 against Othman "The Ironside" Rhouni, and a fourth consecutive finish could put the life-changing contract he has been building toward within touching distance.

Exceeding His Own Expectations

Since his arrival in April 2025, Jaradchai Maxjandee has been a finishing machine.

A body kick knockout in his promotional debut, a flying knee that put Sanpet Sor Salacheep to sleep in his sophomore appearance, and then — most impressively of all — a right head kick that flattened Myanmar's Thant Zin in a mere 98 seconds. That’s three fights, three victories, three performance bonuses, and a finishing rate that has made fans and critics take notice.

What makes the story even more compelling is that Jaradchai himself did not see it coming this fast. He has outpaced his own expectations and arrived at a self-awareness rare for a fighter his age. The Thai teenager is proud of what he has built, but he is fully aware that the ceiling is nowhere close.

"I still have a long way to go and a lot to improve. I actually want to test myself in a longer fight to see how well I can hold up and push the pace in the later rounds," Jaradchai said. "But what I've achieved so far feels like a dream. I never thought I'd get this far, this fast. I'm really proud of how well I've adapted to the show."

The Stiffest Test Yet

Othman "The Ironside" Rhouni is the kind of opponent who lets you know exactly what you are dealing with – and what he showed on short notice against former seven-time Muay Thai World Champion Panpayak Jitmuangnon in his promotional debut this past May said a lot.

The Moroccan went the full three rounds in kickboxing with one of the most decorated fighters in the flyweight division, taking it to a split decision. He has dangerous hands, long reach, and the composure of a fighter who does not get rattled easily.

However, the shift to Muay Thai rules is a different equation, and Jaradchai sees that as the opening.

"Othman is tall and throws some really dangerous punching combinations. The fact that he went toe-to-toe with Panpayak in his debut shows he's got real skills," Jaradchai explained. "However, for this fight, he has to switch over to Muay Thai and use the small gloves. That might give me the edge since I'm much more used to this rule set."

Everything Is On The Line

Jaradchai does not need anyone to tell him what a fourth straight knockout would mean.

That type of highlight-reel victory could land him another performance bonus, strengthen his star power, and most importantly, give him a real possibility of walking out of Lumpinee Stadium with a US$100,000 contract and a place on ONE Championship's global roster.

That is the dream he moved to Bangkok to chase. Friday is the closest he has ever been to it, and he is not leaving anything on the table.

"I'm completely locked in for this fight," Jaradchai said. "I want to secure a stable future for myself and my family. Right now, I have only one goal in mind: bringing that ONE Championship contract home."
