Fans can participate in a track walk on Saturday evening benefitting the Nicky Hayden Memorial Fund
MotoAmerica Press Office
Everyone will miss Nicky Hayden and his infectious smile this weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca as MotoAmerica and World Superbike visit the Monterey Peninsula, but there will be several opportunities to honor the memory of the "Kentucky Kid."
On Saturday at 6:30 p.m., Mazda Raceway will host a track walk beginning at Turn 5 to raise money for the Nicky Hayden Memorial Fund. Fans are encouraged to provide a minimum $5 donation, with all money going directly to the fund. This will be a great chance to walk the 11-turn, 2.238-mile course while giving something back to the person who gave us so much of himself.
Hayden will also be honored on Saturday with a special 3:30 p.m. ET presentation on beIN SPORTS of the 2005 Red Bull Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Hayden won both the 2005 and '06 MotoGP races at the California track.
Even if you aren't able to attend the race this weekend, you will be able to witness great tribute to an American legend who will never be forgotten.
