Dani Alves Settles 'Jordan vs. LeBron' Debate
Paris Saint-Germain star Dani Alves says, if he had to choose, he'd put NBA legend Michael Jordan just ahead of LeBron James.
Paris Saint-Germain's Dani Alves weighted in on a debate that has consumed NBA fans for years: who is the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan or LeBron James?
The Brazil right-back was asked his preference between the two basketball legends during the launch of PSG's new kit for the 2018/19 Champions League season - a collaboration with Jordan Brand.
Pressed to choose between the two, Alves admitted said he rates the Chicago Bulls great slightly higher than the LA Lakers star.
"LeBron [James] is more my ear. He is more recent and does incredible things, like [Michael] Jordan. But Jordan is Jordan," the 35-year-old said.
"If I had to choose, sincerely, there are no words. I don't think it's just about being a champion, or having lots of Championship rings.
"It is the message you send to other dreamers and other people.
"I think, maybe because he has already retired, Jordan is slightly in front of LeBron.
"But LeBron has my respect, because the last jersey I wore was his. I admire his strength and how he faces challenges.
"He's got all my respect, because I think just like him."
