Aurier reportedly arrested at 5:50 a.m. local time after he spent the night at a club with friends near the Champs-Elysees. The 23-year-old was then put in a holding cell for "using violence on a police officer", said a police official.
PSG officials have now confirmed that Aurier has been arrested, but will await further details before offering comment.
Aurier was suspended for six weeks in February after making derogatory comments on the Periscope social media platform about PSG coach Laurent Blanc, striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and other players.
