REVEALED: What Cristiano Ronaldo Said About Zinedine Zidane After Being Substituted
Cristiano Ronaldo was so incensed by being substituted against Las Palmas, he directed abuse towards his coach Zinedine Zidane.
Cristiano Ronaldo was so incensed by being substituted against Las Palmas, he directed abuse towards his coach Zinedine Zidane.
The Frenchman decided to take off the three-time Ballon d’Or winner with 18 minutes left of the game on Saturday, and with Real Madrid 2-1 up. Zidane apparently made the change with a view to the midweek Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund.
The Portuguese however, reacted angrily, with Spanish TV station Deportes Cuatro catching the tirade on camera.
Cristiano didn't look at his coach when he came off the field, and went straight to the bench. There he said, referring to Zidane, “your f*****g mother” or "f**k you", as the Spanish term used by Cristiano can be applicable for both.
He didn't stop there however, before muttering a Portuguese expression which can be seen as “f**k yourself” or “for f**k’s sake”.
Still annoyed by the change, Cristiano went on to say "I did everything for the 2-1, f*** you! 20 minutes! 20 minutes!" according to a Deportes Cuatro lipreader.
More images showed Isco and James Rodriguez grimacing at the moment Zidane announced the change, with the Spaniard pulling a face and saying "he won't like that...".
The result cut Real Madrid's lead over Barcelona to a single point in LaLiga, while this week they face a tough test in Germany against Borussia Dortmund.
