Hibino wins first WTA title in Tashkent
Donna Vekic lost the Tashkent Open final for the second time in her career as Nao Hibino powered to a comfortable straight-sets victory.
Nao Hibino won her maiden WTA Tour title by racing to a 6-2 6-2 victory against Donna Vekic in Saturday's Tashkent Open final.
Hibino played in the main draw of a WTA event for the first time last month, but she has shown no signs of inexperience in Uzbekistan this week.
Having beaten 2013 champion Bojana Jovanovski in Friday's semi-final, Hibino continued to impress as she blew Vekic - a finalist in 2012 - away.
Hibino converted four of the 10 break points she earned throughout the match, while also showing her defensive skills to stave off three from Vekic.
The first break of the match came at the first opportunity, and Hibino broke again in game seven before serving out the opener.
It was an identical start to the second set, and when Hibino earned a double-break 4-1 lead the writing was on the wall for Vekic.
