Quagliarella returns to Sampdoria
Torino striker Fabio Quagliarella has returned to Sampdoria on a six-month loan deal that could see him face the Granata on Wednesday, the Serie A club announced.
"President Massimo Ferrero and Sampdoria are pleased to announce the return of Fabio Quagliarella on a temporary basis," said a Sampdoria statement.
Sampdoria did not reveal any financial details or mention whether the deal would be made permanent at the end of the season.
But the Genoa-based club were quick to pounce on the uncertainty surrounding Quagliarella following the return to Torino of Ciro Immobile, and especially in the wake of allowing star striker Eder to move to Inter Milan on a two-year loan deal on Friday.
Quagliarella, who scored five league goals for Torino this season, is expected to slot into Sampdoria's starting line-up for Wednesday's home game with Torino.
