Wales duo fit for England showdown
Liam Williams and Aaron Jarvis have recovered from opening game injuries to be ready for Wales' Rugby World Cup clash with England.
Wales have been given a double boost ahead of their Rugby World Cup clash with England after Liam Williams and Aaron Jarvis returned to full training.
Williams suffered a thigh injury and Jarvis damaged his ribs during Wales' opening match of Pool A against Uruguay, two of six players to pick up problems in the 54-9 win.
Assistant coach Rob Howley expects the duo to be fit for their crunch game at Twickenham on Saturday, but the outlook for props Samson Lee and Paul James is less promising.
"Liam and Aaron trained fully this morning and are ready to go," Hawley said on Wednesday. "Our two props are still being assessed and hopefully there will be good news in the next 24 hours.
"Samson is a bit further on than Paul so we'll just have to wait and see. There are props on standby and we're waiting to make that call."
Cory Allen was another player to suffer injury in the win at the Millennium Stadium and his hamstring problem saw Tyler Morgan called up in his place.
Morgan is unlikely to start against England, but Hawley believes the 20-year-old will have no problem getting up to the speed of the tournament.
He added: "It was a tough call between Tyler and Cory in the first place. He's young and we always say you never know what is going to happen in the next few weeks.
"He will just fit in.
"He's trained well and it's great to see that enthusiasm and that smile on his face. All our 30 players have a part to play in the World Cup."
