New Zealand have become the first team to retain the Rugby World Cup, courtesy of a 34-17 victory over Australia at Twickenham.

The All Blacks looked set to canter to a third world title as they opened up an 18-point lead early in the second half on Saturday.
Australia fought back superbly to set up a dramatic finale, but Steve Hansen's men pulled away again in the closing stages.
