Postponed rugby after Paris attacks rescheduled
The six European rugby fixtures postponed after the terror attacks in Paris will now be played in mid-January, the EPCR has confirmed.
European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) has announced the postponed fixtures following the terror attacks in Paris will be rescheduled for early January.
Six fixtures in France were cancelled following the attacks on November 13 that claimed the lives of 130 people across the French capital.
Following discussions between the EPCR, Premiership Rugby, Pro12 Rugby and the Ligue Nationale de Rugby it has been confirmed when the matches will take place.
Five matches in the Champions Cup and one in the Challenge Cup will now be played on the weekend of 8/9/10 January, meaning the rounds of domestic matches scheduled for then will be moved to later in the season.
The Champions Cup games in question see Ulster travel to Oyonnax, Racing 92 host Glasgow Warriors, Bordeaux-Begles play Clermont Auvergne and Toulon entertain Bath.
Meanwhile in the Challenge Cup, Castres travel to Pau.
In a statement the EPCR said: "It has been agreed by all parties that the games will be played on the weekend of 8/9/10 January 2016 in advance of Round 5 of the European Rugby Champions Cup and Challenge Cup.
"EPCR would like to thank the three leagues and all the clubs involved for their collaboration and understanding during the rescheduling process."
