Fury announces potential new date for Klitschko bout
The heavyweight title bout between Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury could now take place in November, the challenger has revealed.
Tyson Fury has announced a potential new date of November 28 for his heavyweight title fight with Wladimir Klitschko, which had to be postponed last week when the Ukranian suffered a leg injury.
Klitschko announced in a video on Instagram that a calf problem had forced him to pull out of a bout originally scheduled to take place in Dusseldorf on October 24.
However, the IBF, WBO, IBO and WBA champion insisted he was "working hard to reschedule the fight" and Fury now claims a new date has been settled on - providing an agreement can be reached with broadcasters.
In a tweet posted on Friday, Fury wrote: "GREAT NEWS! Just heard from my team @HennessySports @peterfury that @Klitschko has had the all clear to box nov 28 Dusseldorf. #LETSGETINONNNN (sic)."
"It's now down to @SkySportsBoxing let's get it sorted, November 28 Dusseldorf Germany! @Klitschko."
Fury is unbeaten in 24 fights and has been bullish over his chances of beating veteran Klitschko (64-3).
