Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard led the San Antonio Spurs past the Denver Nuggets 118-104.
WIZARDS REMAIN HOT WITH WIN AGAINST KNICKS
With the win, the Wizards are now 16-6 since December 8, which is the best record in the east.
Wall was helped by Otto Porter Jr, who scored 23 points with six rebounds. Porter also drained six of his 10 three-point attempts, which makes him the first player in Wizards franchise history to have back-to-back games with six three-pointers.
Carmelo Anthony did all he could to help the Knicks pull off the win.
The wily veteran scored 34 points with 10 rebounds, but the referees missed a double dribble from Wall late in the game that ultimately sunk the Knicks.
JAMES FLIRTS WITH TRIPLE-DOUBLE
In addition to his 21 points and 15 assists, James also hauled in nine rebounds.
James has just three triple-doubles all season.
LEONARD STILL UNDERRATED DESPITE TERRIFIC RESULTS
The Spurs star - including the NBA All-Star starting line-up - scored 34 points with five rebounds and four assists in a win against Denver.
Leonard had to carry the load with Tony Parker out, and centre Pau Gasol surprisingly out after breaking a bone in his hand during warm-ups.
Dejounte Murray started in place of Parker and scored 24 points on seven-of-11 shooting with two assists and two rebounds.
CLIPPERS LOSE, HEAT WIN
The Los Angeles Clippers were stunned 104-101 by the Minnesota Timberwolves, while the Miami Heat overcame the Dallas Mavericks 99-95.
WARRIORS SET TO TAKE ON ROCKETS
