Clippers extend streak, Spurs go back-to-back
Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Chris Paul, JJ Redick and Luc Mbah a Moute all starred as the Los Angeles Clippers stayed hot in the NBA.
The streaking Los Angeles Clippers crushed the Minnesota Timberwolves in NBA action on Saturday, while the San Antonio Spurs won again.
Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Chris Paul, JJ Redick and Luc Mbah a Moute all starred as the Clippers defeated the Timberwolves 119-105 to a sixth successive victory.
The Spurs claimed back-to-back wins with a 106-100 triumph at the Houston Rockets.
Tim Hardaway Jr. helped the in-form Atlanta Hawks past the Philadelphia 76ers 117-96, while the Toronto Raptors extended their unbeaten run with a 118-107 win against the New York Knicks.
The Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls were also among the winners.
CLIPPERS STAY HOT
The Clippers and their starting five came up big on Saturday.
Griffin (20 points, 11 rebounds) and Jordan (18 points, 16 rebounds) both had double-doubles, Paul posted 19 points, Redick added 18 and Mbah a Moute contributed 15 of his own.
The Clippers now boast the best record in the NBA at 9-1.
SPURS WITHSTAND HARDEN'S TRIPLE-DOUBLE
James Harden tallied 25 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds, and team-mate Eric Gordon had 27 points but it was not enough for the Rockets (5-4).
Kawhi Leonard (20 points), LaMarcus Aldridge (16 points, 10 rebounds), Pau Gasol (15 points), Tony Parker (16 points) and Manu Ginobili (12 points) as the Spurs (7-3) avenged Wednesday's loss to the Rockets.
HAWKS, RAPTORS ROLL ON
Hardaway Jr led the way with 20 points as the Hawks (7-2) won a fourth consecutive game.
The Raptors (7-2) extended their streak to three games after seeing off the Knicks thanks to DeMar DeRozan's 33 points.

LAKERS WIN AGAIN, BUTLER GUIDES BULLS
The Lakers won back-to-back games after accounting for the New Orleans Pelicans 126-99.
Jimmy Butler posted 37 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and three steals to inspire the Bulls to a 106-95 win over the Washington Wizards.
The Brooklyn Nets were too good for the Phoenix Suns 122-104, the Milwaukee Bucks trumped the Memphis Grizzlies 106-96, the Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers 105-99, the Miami Heat lost 102-91 to the Utah Jazz, while the Detroit Pistons triumphed 106-95 against the Denver Nuggets.
