Sixers star Embiid sits out second successive game
Joel Embiid, dealing with a back issue, will not take to the court on Tuesday, having also missed Monday's loss to the Chicago Bulls.
The Philadelphia 76ers will be without star center Joel Embiid for Tuesday's NBA clash against the Sacramento Kings.
Embiid, dealing with a back issue, also missed Monday's 117-115 loss to the Chicago Bulls.
The 23-year-old is averaging 24.1 points and 11.0 rebounds per game this season, but has now missed four of his last six games.
Despite the lack of recent game time, Embiid played 39 minutes in a thrilling 119-117 triple-overtime loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, so the 76ers are likely just being cautious with their prized asset.
The 76ers enter Tuesday's game in desperate need of a win, having dropped eight of their last 11.
With Embiid out of the line-up, look for Dario Saric and Ben Simmons to once again lead the offense.
