Green expected to play against Lakers in Warriors' final preseason game
The Golden State Warriors are set to have forward Draymond Green return in their final preseason game.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is expected to be back on the court on Friday.
The 28-year-old has missed the Warriors' last three preseason games because of a sore left knee.
But, Golden State coach Steve Kerr said Green will return for the team's final tune-up against the Los Angeles Lakers.
"Draymond's doing better, and he practiced today," Kerr said on Thursday (via ESPN).
"We had a brief practice. We didn't do any contact, but he's doing better and he feels good.”
Kerr said he was happy Green will play before Golden State begin the regular season against the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 16.
"The last three games without him, it's created some interesting combinations, which has been good for us to get a longer look at guys," Kerr said.
"But some of the combinations have struggled a little bit. So, Draymond has a way of kind of tying things together out there."
The Lakers defeated the Warriors 123-113 in preseason action on Wednesday.
