Curry to miss first Warriors game this season
A stomach flu has caused Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry to miss a game for the first time this NBA season.
For the first time this season, two-time reigning NBA MVP Steph Curry will not suit up for the Golden State Warriors when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers.
A stomach flu has caused Curry to miss a game for the first time since the second round of last season's playoffs, the Warriors announced before Sunday's clash.
Curry played in all 47 games so far during the 2016-17 season.
He had been listed as questionable with tightness in his left lateral quad after scoring 43 points on 15-of-23 shooting in Saturday's 144-98 blowout win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Curry ranks 11th in the NBA in scoring, at 25 points per game, while averaging 6.1 assists and 4.3 rebounds.
Shaun Livingston is expected to make his first start this season in Curry's absence.
