Misbah lauds phenomenal Yasir
Yasir Shah was Pakistan's main man yet again on the final day, taking 6-124 to consign West Indies to defeat.
Misbah-ul-Haq hailed Yasir Shah after the Pakistan leg-spinner claimed a 10-wicket haul to seal a Test series victory over West Indies in Abu Dhabi.
The magnificent Yasir took 6-124 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium to consign a spirited Windies' side to 133-run defeat at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, giving Pakistan a 2-0 lead with one Test remaining.
Jermaine Blackwood (95) and Shai Hope (41) held up Misbah's men, but Yasir claimed match figures of 10-210 on a flat pitch - the second time he has taken 10 wickets in a Test.
Pakistan were expected to secure the win with just six wickets needed on day five, but Misbah said his bowlers - and man of the match Yasir in particular - should take great credit for their exploits.
"Our spinners are our strength and with Yasir being a world-class bowler, we expect to have turning and spinning wickets but this pitch had nothing for the bowlers," said the veteran batsman.
"Today it was fifth day and still was flat and didn't do much but still our bowlers worked so hard to take 20 wickets and it's a big achievement."
He added: "They worked really hard, especially Yasir Shah and the fast bowlers also contributed well on this pitch, and I think that was a big achievement, getting 20 wickets on this pitch."
Misbah also spoke of his disappointment with the Windies' fall from grace in the longest format.
"That's bit disappointing and if you see their strength in international cricket they were always a force but now they are having a downfall," he added.
"They are a young side with some players performing well in bits and pieces at the moment. They will become a good side but at the moment they are lacking experience.
"Everyone wants to see a strong West Indies side like we had in the past. Right now it's really a big disappointing factor for all of their fans."
