Mitchell Johnson was adamant that his Australia career is "done and dusted" after producing another outstanding display of fast bowling in Perth Scorchers' Big Bash League final victory over Sydney Sixers.

There have been calls for Johnson to make an international comeback following his exploits in the Scorchers' run to a third Big Bash title.

The 35-year-old quick took figures of 1-13 from his four overs after claiming an astonishing 3-3 in a semi-final victory over Melbourne Stars and was outstanding once again in a nine-wicket win over the Sixers at the Furnace on Saturday.

But Johnson is not planning to make a comeback for his country in the Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka next month.

Asked about a potential Australia return, he told TEN Sport: "You always think about those kind of things, but playing this Big Bash, I came out here really enjoyed it, had fun, I don't think I'll play international cricket again. 

"That's me done and dusted, I enjoyed it while I played but I'm enjoying myself playing this T20 stuff."

The Sixers could only post 141-9 in a one-sided showdown in Perth and Michael Klinger was unbeaten on 71 from only 49 balls as the Scorchers won with 25 balls to spare.

Johnson said: "It brings back memories of any series win, but this is pretty special considering I was not going to play.

"It's amazing, the two best teams were in the final. The Sixers are tough opposition, very confident and seem to play their best cricket in the finals.

"The crowd were amazing, to have 21,800 people, I haven't heard it like it's been for the semi-final and the final."
