Lomachenko dominates Walters to retain title
A fight against Manny Pacquiao could be next after Vasyl Lomachenko easily defended his WBO world super featherweight title.
Vasyl Lomachenko retained his WBO world super featherweight title with a dominant win over Nicholas Walters on Saturday.
The Ukrainian completely controlled seven rounds before Jamaican Walters quit in Las Vegas.
Lomachenko won the title five months ago and retained it easily, improving to a 7-1 record.
The loss was the first of Walters' career as he slipped to a 26-1-1 record.
"He's a great fighter," Walters said in an in-ring interview.
"He's very fast. He's a very good puncher. He got me with shots all over."
Lomachenko has been linked with a fight against Filipino star Manny Pacquiao, who recently beat Jessie Vargas, next year.
