A New 'Clásico' Between Real Madrid and Barcelona in the United States
Real Madrid and Barcelona are going head-to-head again in the good ol' US of A for a new edition of the "Clásico" happening in New Jersey.
Enjoy! It's gonna be another Spanish showdown between Real Madrid and Barcelona in New Jersey, USA, just a stone's throw away from the iconic Empire State. The match will go down at one of NFL's biggest stadiums, the MetLife Stadium, home to the New York Giants and New York Jets, packing in a whopping 82,500 fans.
On Real Madrid's North American tour, they're playing three matches instead of four over a span of seven days. First up, it's Milan on July 31st at Soldier Field (Chicago), then the face-off against Barcelona at the MetLife (New Jersey) on August 3rd, and finally Chelsea at the Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte) on August 6th.
The reason for just three games is the crazy summer schedule for European clubs with the Euros happening from June 14th to July 14th, followed by the Olympics from July 26th to August 11th, and a possible UEFA Super Cup
(Real Madrid) slated for August 14th in Warsaw.
Meanwhile, Barcelona's Soccer Champions Tour is shaping up similarly to Madrid's, but they've got a showdown with an old foe, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, along with Milan and, as mentioned earlier, Real Madrid. The City match goes down at Camping World Stadium (Orlando) on July 31st and the Milan clash at M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore) on August 6th.
