Toulon claims Nonu deal done
Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal says Ma'a Nonu has agreed a new deal.
New Zealand legend Ma'a Nonu has signed a new deal to stay with Toulon next season, president Mourad Boudjellal said.
Nonu made the switch to the Top 14 giant after playing a key role in the All Blacks becoming the first nation to win consecutive Rugby World Cups in 2015.
The powerhouse centre, capped 103 times for New Zealand, helped Toulon to the Top 14 final last season and Boudjellal stated that talks over a new deal had begun in December.
The president said Nonu will be staying in France next term.
"Yes it is signed," Boudjellal told L'Equipe. "Ma'a Nonu will be in Toulon next season."
Toulon is fifth in the Top 14 table after 17 matches this season.
