Swansea's unenthusiastic Bony song a hit with fans
"Come on Wilfried Bony, score some goals for Swansea, we'll go wild, wild, wild." These sound like the jubilant words of a returning prodigal son. Not when swansea recruit Wilfried Bony sings them.
It is the understated-bordering-on-unenthusiastic chant that has gone viral with Swansea City fans.
Bony, who rejoined Swansea from Manchester City today, applies his dulcet tones to the song in a bizarre social media post from the club that has gone viral.
Bony returns to the Welsh club in a deal reported to be worth in the region of £12 million ($19.5 million).
The Ivory Coast international left south Wales for City in January 2015 in a £28 million ($45.4 million) transfer but struggled for form and fitness under then City manager Manuel Pellegrini.
A loan stint at Stoke City last term was similarly fruitless, with the 28 year-old scoring twice in 11 appearances – both of which came against Swansea.
His signing has proven a hit with fans, but maybe not as big a hit as the song.
