Rooney to miss United's UEL clash
Jose Mourinho has confirmed Wayne Rooney is still "not happy" with his fitness and will miss the UEFA Europa League match with Anderlecht.
Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has been left out of the squad to face Anderlecht in the UEFA Europa League quarter-final on Friday (AEST).
The 31-year-old has missed the past two Premier League games with ankle problems and has not travelled with the team for the first leg in Brussels.
"He's not happy with his condition," manager Jose Mourinho said. "He has a bad feeling with his ankle."
Asked if Rooney will be fit for the visit of Chelsea in the Premier League on Monday (AEST), Mourinho responded: "Let's see".
Goalkeeper David de Gea is in the squad despite missing the 3-0 Premier League win over Sunderland last Monday (AEST), although it is expected that Sergio Romero will keep his place in the team.
