Madrid sends Odegaard on loan to Heerenveen
Heerenveen announced the imminent arrival of Norwegian youth prospect Martin Odegaard on loan from Real Madrid.
The Eredivisie side has not revealed how long the loan agreement covers, though it has been reported that the deal may stretch until the end of the 2017-2018 season.
Odegaard shot into the public eye after making his debut at Stromsgodset in 2014, later that year becoming Norway's youngest senior international when he appeared in a friendly against United Arab Emirates aged 15 years and 253 days.
Madrid secured the youngster's signature shortly after his 16th birthday in January 2015, but he has since made just two first-team appearances having spent the majority of his time in the Castilla set-up.
Odegaard will be presented at the Abe Lenstra Stadion on Wednesday (AEDT).
