Singapore Grand Prix: Russell seals lights-to-flag victory as McLaren clinch Constructors' title
Mercedes’ George Russell became the sixth different driver in six years to win the Singapore Grand Prix with a stunning performance at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. He fended off Max Verstappen and Lando Norris to claim his second win of the 2025 Formula 1 season.
With Norris and Oscar Piastri finishing third and fourth, McLaren were able to seal their 10th Constructors' title with six races to spare. Meanwhile, Kimi Antonelli finished fifth behind Piastri, while Fernando Alonso ended up between Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton in seventh. Haas rookie Ollie Bearman crossed the line in ninth, while Carlos Sainz earned a point for Williams by finishing tenth.
With the Constructors' Championship now wrapped up, the fight for the Drivers’ title continues into next weekend’s United States Grand Prix. Piastri’s lead over Norris has been trimmed to 22 points after the Singapore Grand Prix, while reigning champion Verstappen finds himself 63 points adrift.
