ONE Friday Fights 158 Results: Petnamkhong Outsmarts Maisangkum, Usubyan Spoils Kartoum's Debut
ONE Friday Fights 158 closed out a memorable week at Bangkok's iconic Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, June 12.
Petnamkhong Sor Maneekhot made it three in a row with a unanimous decision victory over Maisangkum Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang in a main event that showcased exactly how far the Laotian has grown as a fighter. In the co-main event, Mamuka Usubyan ripped through Enzo Kartoum with a long-range striking masterclass to stay perfect in ONE Championship and push his winning streak to seven.
Petnamkhong’s Composure Wins The Day
Petnamkhong Sor Maneekhot entered the strawweight Muay Thai battle with a strategy built on patience – and he executed it flawlessly over three rounds.
Maisangkum Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang pushed the pace early, driving his Laotian rival into corners with body punches and threading straight shots through the guard. But Petnamkhong never panicked. He worked from range, read his rival’s patterns, and made him pay every time he committed.
In the second round, the Laotian switched stances to disrupt Maisangkum's rhythm, connecting from southpaw, greeting him with elbows every time he closed the distance, and using sharp push kicks to reset the range before any real damage could land. His clinch work was equally suffocating, as he neutralized Maisangkum's forward pressure with wiry strength and precision.
The final stanza brought out Maisangkum's biggest moments, but Petnamkhong had an answer for everything – jabs, body kicks, and a short elbow that opened a cut and capped a brilliant performance. All three judges agreed. The Laotian moved his record to 46-9, and the contract conversation just got louder.
Usubyan Makes It Look Easy
Mamuka Usubyan did not need to take a single risk at ONE Friday Fights 158. He simply outranged, outworked, and outthought Enzo Kartoum for three rounds. In the process, he extended his perfect ONE Championship record to 4-0 and spoiled one of the most anticipated debuts on the card.
Kartoum showed why he was hyped, using a tight guard and sharp bursts to create riveting moments throughout the contest, including a jumping kick in the second frame that briefly shifted the tempo.
But Usubyan was always waiting with answers. He controlled the distance with a stiff jab and probing body kicks, switched stances to disrupt the Frenchman’s timing, and countered with textbook right hooks whenever the Frenchman found his footing.
By the third and final round, the Russian’s footwork was as crisp as the first bell, as he tagged Kartoum at the end of combinations and prevented him from building any sustained momentum. That led to a unanimous decision for Usubyan, who secured a seventh consecutive win and improved his overall record to 24-2.
