Tudor heaps praise on goalscoring sub Vlahovic after Udinese win
Dusan Vlahovic came off the bench to score Juventus' second goal in their 2-0 victory at home to Udinese on Sunday.
Juventus head coach Igor Tudor piled the praise on Dusan Vlahovic after he came off the bench to score the second in their 2-0 victory over Udinese on Sunday.
Nico Gonzalez had initially put the hosts ahead in the second half, before Vlahovic further tipped the balance of the game after coming on in the 73rd minute.
The Serbian netted a second goal two minutes from time to make the result comfortable, giving Juventus a one-point buffer in the top four of Serie A with just one game remaining.
Juventus travel to Venezia on the final day, while fifth-placed Roma go to Torino and sixth-placed Lazio, who trail by two points, host Lecce.
"Vlahovic had a great impact, played with heart, and proved his value," said Tudor, whose own contract runs until the end of the season.
"He sacrificed for the team and played a good game.
"It was not about motivation but about the playing style, set pieces, preventive markings, and trying to release the pressure that the team felt.
"It was a serious performance, there wasn't a player I didn't like. It was truly a great game. Udinese are a serious and well-trained team."
Tudor took over from Thiago Motta on a short-term contract and has lost just one of his eight games in charge.
As long as they match or better the result of Roma and Lazio on the final day, he will have delivered them another season of Champions League football
