beIN Asia Pacific Secures Broadcast Rights to 2025/26 Ligue 1 and Serie A in Hong Kong
beIN SPORTS is bringing back two of Europe’s top-flight football leagues to Hong Kong this season, with the return of Serie A and Ligue 1. Football fans can look forward to live action, big-name stars, and the drama that only Italian and French football can deliver.
Coverage of both leagues will on beIN SPORTS channels, available on Now TV, as well as via the live streaming app beIN SPORTS CONNECT - offering fans in Hong Kong a multi-screen experience of the premium football Ligue 1 and Serie A have to offer.
Ligue 1
Set for its 87th edition, the Ligue 1 kicks off on 16 August with last season’s runners-up Marseille travelling to Rennes for their opener. Under Italian tactician Roberto De Zerbi, Marseille will lean on the experience of returning striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the flair of new signings Angel Gomes and Timothy Weah in their bid for another title charge.
The first blockbuster arrives on Matchday 5, when Marseille face champions Paris Saint-Germain in the Le Classique at the Parc des Princes. Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue are among the key threats for Luis Enrique’s side, fresh from completing a historic quintuple with their UEFA Super Cup victory.
Elsewhere, Paul Pogba makes his much-anticipated comeback with AS Monaco, joining fellow marquee signing Ansu Fati in a bold statement of intent from the principality club.
Serie A
A week later, the Serie A gets underway on 24 August, promising a season of tactical masterclasses, fierce rivalries, and spectacular goals. Reigning champions Napoli have reinforced their squad with the headline signing of Belgian midfield maestro Kevin De Bruyne, who will join forces with former Premier League stars Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku in an irresistible attack.
The intensity builds quickly, with Matchday 3 serving up a heavyweight clash between Juventus and Inter Milan - two of last season’s top four - on 14 September. Later in the campaign, the first Milan Derby arrives on Matchday 12, as Inter and AC Milan face off at the iconic San Siro in a showdown that could have major implications in the title race.
Opening Weekend Highlights
Defending Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain kick off their title defence at Nantes on August 18, while their neighbours Paris FC return to the French top-flight after 46 years as they visit Angers a day earlier. Having succeeded in their appeal against relegation over financial issues, Lyon begin their Ligue 1 campaign away to RC Lens on August 16.
In Italy, Napoli start their Scudetto defence away to Sassuolo on the opening day, while last season’s runners-up Inter welcome Torino on 26 August. 36-time champions Juventus entertain Parma a day earlier and AC Milan - who finished a disappointing eighth last term - are at home to newly-promoted Cremonese on 24 August.
