Lecomte becomes Fulham's first signing of transfer window
While other clubs have already started adding to their squads, Fulham have bided their time, with Benjamin Lecomte their first addition.
Fulham have made their first signing of the transfer window, bringing in Benjamin Lecomte from Montpellier.
Fulham have bided their time in the transfer market so far, but have secured Lecomte on a two-year contract.
Lecomte had two spells at Montpellier, with his second stint beginning in January 2023. Overall, he made 167 appearances for the Ligue 1 side in all competitions.
He kept 45 clean sheets during that time, but only managed one in all competitions in 30 matches last term.
"I'm really, really happy and proud to join Fulham because it's a new step in my career, and I think it will be really nice to be part of the club," Lecomte told FFCtv after signing.
Sporting director Tony Khan added: "I am excited to welcome Benjamin Lecomte to Fulham.
"He is a talented goalkeeper with valuable experience, including more than 300 appearances in Ligue 1, and his arrival will further strengthen the team and add depth to Marco's [Silva] squad, as we prepare for next season in the Premier League!"
Fulham are also reportedly in talks with Arsenal over the signing of Reiss Nelson, and have also been linked with Chelsea duo Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Raheem Sterling.
