Thomas Muller has extended his contract with the Vancouver Whitecaps through to the end of the 2027 MLS Sprint Season.

After helping the Vancouver Whitecaps reach their first MLS Cup final last season, Thomas Muller has extended his stay in Canada.
The 37-year-old's previous deal was set to expire this December, but he will now remain with the 2026 MLS Cup runners-up until June 2027.
Muller has scored 19 goals and provided 12 assists in 45 appearances for the Whitecaps since joining as a free agent in the summer of 2025.
Since his arrival, Muller leads Vancouver players in direct goal contributions (27 – 16 goals, 11 assists) in MLS.
During his first campaign, Vancouver reached the MLS Cup showpiece for the first time, though they lost to Lionel Messi's Inter Miami, while they won the Canadian Championship.
The Whitecaps are leading the Western Conference this season, with Muller named an MLS All-Star earlier in the year.
"I've really enjoyed my time here from the beginning," Muller told the club website.
"Vancouver has been very open and welcoming to me, and I've felt that same spirit throughout the club.
"We have an offensive, possession-based style that is fun to play and fun to watch, and you can really feel the excitement around the team and the city right now. The fans are enjoying it, and I think everyone wants to be part of what we are building.
"For me, it's still so much fun to be out on the pitch every week, and I feel good physically.
"I'm very happy to continue this journey with the 'Caps, and I'm looking forward to what we can achieve together this year and next year in the Sprint Season."
