Nineteen-year-old Nicolo Zaniolo scored a second-half brace as AS Roma beat FC Porto, 2-1, in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie on Tuesday in Rome. Adrian Lopez scored for Porto, an away goal that could prove key for the Portuguese side heading into the second leg on March 6.

Zaniolo scored twice in the span of six minutes, first in the 70th minute and then again in the 76th, to break what had been a scoreless deadlock to that point. Eden Dzeko provided assists on both goals.

Lopez responded with a goal for Porto in the 79th minute, assisted by Tiquinho, to give the visitors a lifeline as they head home for the second leg.
