Ronaldo Sent Off on Champions League Debut for Juve
Cristiano Ronaldo's Champions League debut for Juventus came to a premature end as he was shown a contentious red card.
An inconsolable Cristiano Ronaldo was controversially sent off just 29 minutes into his first Champions League appearance for Juventus.
The Portuguese received his marching orders following an off-the-ball incident with Valencia defender Jeison Murillo.
As a result, the 33-year-old will miss the next two games in Group H – Juventus' home date against Young Boys and their trip to Old Trafford to face his former club Manchester United.
Ronaldo is the competition's highest scorer with 120 goals and will have to wait until matchday four, when Juve host Manchester United, for a chance to open his European account for his new club.
