1) Keylor Navas pulls out of Copa with hurty foot
There is going to have to be another promotional adjustment as another Made-up Copa America star bites the dust. Keylor Navas has joined absentees such as Neymar after withdrawing from the Costa Rica team with a sudden and unfortunate dose of tendinopathy – also known as hellnoyourenotplaying - a condition which, by coincidence, suddenly flared up last summer forcing the Real Madrid keeper to miss the Gold Cup as well. Real Madrid have handed the keeper a sick note to be handed over to the Costa Rica federation, whilst Navas feigns a chesty cough for good measure.
2) No-show city as Leo Messi’s tax trial begins
Leo Messi’s tax evasion trial got underway on Tuesday with 200 journalists present to catch all the comings and goings. The problem for day one is that there was not so much of the comings with the witnesses failing to turn up, which saw the action in court barely lasting an hour. Messi himself is due to testify on Thursday, accused alongside the player’s father of three counts of tax fraud worth $4.5 million dating back to a period from 2007 to 2009.
3) Reus misses out for Germany as deadline day for Euro 2016 squads arrives
Marco Reus has been left out of Germany’s Euro 2016 squad with manager, Joachim Loew, saying that the Borussia Dortmund winger was still struggling with injury. Bastian Schweinsteiger still managed to be included though, despite ten months of general uselessness for Manchester United.
Vicente Del Bosque, manager of reigning European champions Spain, has named 19 of his 23-man squad for Euro 2016. The final four spots will be named later on Tuesday and come from a list of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid players with Del Bosque wanting to assess fitness levels. However, Saul and Isco are widely predicted to miss out. Arsenal fullback, Hector Bellerin, was called up to replace the injured Dani Carvajal.
Spain striker Alvaro Morata has dropped a hint about the forward’s next direction. The Juventus striker is expected to be bought back by Real Madrid, given an overhaul by a couple of Canadian twins and then flipped and sold on. That destination could be the Premier League, says Morata.
“With what I have learned in Italy, if I have the chance to learn something more in England I think it would make me a more complete”

AC Milan überlord, Silvio Berlusconi, has looked at the Leicester City model of not spending a huge amount of money and winning the league as the pattern for his own club. Old Alligator arms is still looking to clinch a deal with Chinese investors but says that the alternative won’t be so bad it all falls through. 5) Rain, rain go away at Roland Garros as remarkable story of Bethany Hamilton continues
More rain at the French Open at Roland Garros. Novak Djokovic was just one set into his game against Roberto Bautista Agut, before the heavens opened. Unfortunately for the Serb, that set was lost. The famous Parisian venue has fallen under some criticism for failing to have a roof on its main court, causing what could become a significant backlog of matches.

A truly remarkable performance from Bethany Hamilton, the surfer who lost her arm in 2003 at the age of 13. Overnight, the surfer beat the current world number one and also a six-times world champion to finish third in the World Surf League’s Fiji Women’s Pro.
