Sports Burst - The Simeone Super Bowl
The ghost of Atletico Madrid haunts worst Super Bowl in recorded history
Tom Brady picks up a sixth Super Bowl ring as Patriots and Rams bore planet
That was quite the feat from Atletico Madrid on Sunday.
First, getting out of the city of Sevilla after a loss to Betis in La Liga and jetting over to Atlanta at previously unachievable hypersonic speeds.
Then, the entire squad being kitted out in the uniforms of the New England Patriots and LA Rams to grind out a Sunday night slog-fest for America.
That is clearly the only logical explanation for the Simeone-style Super Bowl on Sunday that saw just six points scored for the first three quarters and gave the watching world the curious sensation of relief that Maroon 5 were playing at halftime.
Even those soft-rock ballad merchants were better than the game. It's as if the Atletico Madrid boss had Freaky-Freaky body-swapped with Bill Belichick.
In the end, a vulgar touchdown was scored in the fourth by the Patriots of course, to give Tom Brady a record six Super Bowl titles and an excuse to go nuts when celebrating and potentially eat a strawberry.
We'll hear what Gabrielle Amado and Jeremy St. Louis made of the whole affair on the Sports Burst live show at 12PM ET / 9AM PT. Just go to the beIN SPORTS Facebook page to enjoy or watch back at your leisure over lunch.
Plans begin to recover wreckage of Emiliano Sala's plane
Unfortunately, onto more sobering news now and on Monday efforts will begin to recover the wreckage of the airplane that carried Cardiff City player, Emiliano Sala, and pilot David Ibbotson.
A privately-funded search confirmed on Sunday that the wreckage of the Piper Alpa plane had been been located on the seabed off the coast of the island of Guernsey. "They saw the registration number," confirmed David Mearns, who lead the search, to the BBC on Monday.
Work will now begin on a plan to recover the wreckage of the plane as a tragic chapter closes in football and in the lives of the family and friends of Emiliano Sala.
Messi sits out training as Barcelona stresses over footballer's fitness
Time for a little bit of El Clasico news as there is one on the way on Wednesday in the Copa del Rey doncha know. Live on beIN SPORTS from 2:30PM ET / 11:30AM PT!
The Barcelona players were training on Monday but there was no sign of Lionel Messi and there are mild concerns that the footballer will miss Wednesday's game after suffering a strain in Saturday's win over Valencia.
The injury was in the player's thigh and not thought to be linked with carrying the team on his back once again.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid is enjoying the feeling of a fifth win on the bounce to take to the Camp Nou after a comfortable 3-0 victory over Alaves on Sunday, that closes the gap at the top of the La Liga standings to eight points.

Liverpool looks to avoid being squished by the Hammers
The Premier League is dipping its tippy-toes into Monday football with table-topping Liverpool away to West Ham United in a clash that has the whiff of a banana skin for the Reds.
The gap with Manchester City in second place is currently just two points after the Citizens rolled over Arsenal on Sunday and although West Ham have been in staggeringly bad form of late (except funnily enough against Arsenal recently), picking up three points will be no easy business for Jurgen Klopp's side.
"You have to gain points and gain points and get as much as possible," noted the German manager on a approach from Liverpool that will see the side putting equal effort into securing a Premier League title as the Champions League, where Liverpool will face Bayern Munich in a fortnight's time.
