Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos says that his side can win trophies with new coach Rafael Benitez.
The Germany international believes that the former Napoli boss can open a new era of success at the Santiago Bernabeu
Los Blancos won the Club World Cup last December but were then beaten to top spot in La Liga by great rivals Barcelona after being knocked out of both the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
Ancelotti paid for Madrid's perceived failure with his job and replaced at the helm by former Napoli boss Benitez.
Some supporters remain sceptical about their club's decision to replace the man who led Los Blancos to a 10th Champions League title with Benitez but Kroos believes the future looks bright at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"I think we have a good chance to win titles with him," the Germany international stated. "I hope to have a good year.
"He talks a lot with everybody and wants to create a good team.
"But is difficult to win trophies, particularly the Champions League, as there are always four or five candidates to win."
Kroos joined Madrid from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2014, penning a six-year contract with the Primera Division outfit.
