Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti believes that new arrival Stevan Jovetic has what it takes to become a key figure for the Giuseppe Meazza side.
The Nerazzurri icon has little doubt that the summer signing from Manchester City will make a huge impact at San Siro, along with Geoffrey Kondogbia
The Montenegro international joined from Manchester City on an 18-month loan deal earlier this summer and immediately opened his account for the Nerazzurri in the 2-0 friendly win over Athletic Bilbao at the weekend.
Zanetti is pleased with the 25-year-old's return to Serie A after two frustrating seasons with City and has hailed the forward's unpredictable style of play.
"As an opponent, Jovetic always used to cause us problems. He’s one of those players that can pull something out of the bag at any moment," Zanetti told Sky Sport Italia.
"I’m really happy that he’s here with us – he’s another one that can do well with our group."
Zanetti also had his say on Geoffrey Kondogbia, who joined Inter from Monaco for €40 million, and has high hopes the Frenchman can help Roberto Mancini's side back to the top, even if he might need some time to find his feet in Italy.
"We went to great lengths to bring in Kondogbia. He’s a big talent and can give us a hand.
"Of course, he’s also a very young player, so we need to give him time to adapt to Italian football. We’ll keep a close eye on him, just like we do with all the players, to help him produce his best football."
