Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has stressed that the Serie A side have not given up hopes of holding on to Carlos Tevez, while they are also keen for Gianluigi Buffon to stay put beyond the expiry date of his existing contract.
The Turin side will do everything within their limits to convince the Argentine attacker to sign a new deal with the Serie A leaders
Buffon signed a new deal as recently as November last year to commit to the club until 2017, but Tevez's current deal with the Italian champions is due to expire in June 2016 and he recently hinted at a potential return to Boca Juniors.
Nevertheless, Juventus refuse to accept that the Argentine attacker will leave in the near future and are willing to go far to hold on to Tevez.
"We would like to extend the contracts of Buffon and Tevez," Marotta told reporters.
"They are an integral part of this Juventus. They are excellent players, true professionals.
"They decide their own future. From our side, a signed blank cheque is waiting for them.
"As for Tevez's individual situation, we have a desire to keep him at the club for many more years."
The attacker, 31, has netted 15 goals in 23 Serie A appearances so far in 2014-15.
