Cristiano Ronaldo has been told to appear in court on July 31st to face allegations that he has committed tax fraud.
It has been claimed the Real Madrid star defrauded the tax offices out of €14m, and must face a closed hearing at a court in Madrid. A judge will then decide if any further charges should be brought against the player.
While he has been cited to make the appearance, no formal charges have yet been made and he has been deemed an ‘investigated person.’
Ronaldo is currently at the Confederations Cup with Portugal in Russia.
