Claudio Bravo Injury Blow For Barcelona
Barcelona have announced that goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has picked up a calf injury that could see him miss the match versus Atletico Madrid
Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has received some disappointing news in the build-up to his side's La Liga match against Atletico Madrid on Saturday, with goalkeeper Claudio Bravo a fitness doubt.
The Chile international has picked up a muscular problem in his right calf and could consequently face a brief spell on the sidelines.
"Claudio Bravo has been sidelined with a muscle injury in the calf of his right leg," a statement on the club's official website reads.
"Tests have shown that the Chilean goalkeeper has sustained a lesion. The evolution of the injury will mark his availability for the next few days."
The 32-year-old has developed into a key figure at Barcelona since joining the club from Real Sociedad in 2014.
He was the Camp Nou side's first-choice goalkeeper in La Liga last term and has remained Luis Enrique's number one in the league this campaign.
Bravo kept 23 clean sheets in 37 La Liga appearances last season.
