St Louis Rams To Play First Every NFL Game At Twickenham
Twickenham's maiden staging of an NFL match will see the St Louis Rams face an unnamed NFC East opponent in October next year.
The St Louis Rams will play in the first NFL match to be hosted at Twickenham, the franchise has confirmed.
England's home of rugby union was announced this month as a venue for one of three International Series fixtures to be played in 2016 and the Rams will occupy the home dressing room on October 23.
Who the NFC West side face will be decided at the end of the 2015 regular season, with the team in the NFC East who occupy the same position as the Rams do heading to London.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will return to Wembley for a fourth consecutive year to meet the Indianapolis Colts earlier in October, the Indiana outfit continuing its commitment of playing a home game in the United Kingdom until 2020.
Wembley will host a second game of the series on October 30 as the Cincinnati Bengals travel to the UK for the first time, when the AFC North leaders will tackle the Washington Redskins.
"The passion our UK fans have shown for the NFL is overwhelming," said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
"We are very appreciative of the strong and growing fan support, not only for the games, but for all of the related NFL events we host in the UK throughout the year.
"We look forward to welcoming new fans to their first NFL game in 2016 and welcoming back thousands of others that are helping our sport grow to new levels of popularity in London and beyond."
