Peyton Manning Set To Make Denver Broncos Return Next Week
The Denver Broncos will have veteran quarterback Peyton Manning back on the practice field this week.
Denver Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said quarterback Peyton Manning will return to practice on Wednesday.
Manning has been sidelined since suffering a torn left plantar fascia.
The 39-year-old missed his fourth consecutive NFL match last week as the Broncos lost 15-12 to the Oakland Raiders.
However, Manning is nearing a competitive comeback with a return to practice field looming, according to Kubiak.
"That's the next step: that [Manning] is coming back for practice," said Kubiak, who will stick with Brock Osweiler for Sunday's trip to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"If you're coming back to practice, then you're working toward getting back on the field and playing.
"Let me see where we're at. I know how we ended last week, and I know what I've been doing since 5 o'clock this morning. I haven't talked to anybody; I've been doing a lot of evaluation and those type of things."
