Brandon McManus kicked a 37-yard field goal in OT to see the Broncos to their victory at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
The Broncos had trailed 14-0 before their fightback saw them improve to 11-4 and secure a play-off place.
Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler completed 27 of 39 passes for 299 yards and a touchdown, while C.J. Anderson had 73 rushing yards.
The Bengals, who have already clinched the AFC North, had AJ McCarron finish with 200 yards on the back of 22 of 35 passing.
McManus had missed a game-winning field goal by a long way late in regulation, but he delivered in OT.
