Sacramento to be awarded Major League Soccer's 29th franchise on Monday, according to reports
Sacramento will be announced as the 29th Major League Soccer team on Monday, reports the Sacramento Bee.
The California capital has been attempting to join MLS for several years, but recently secured additional investors that got the deal over the line.
The club's ownership is expected to immediately begin construction on a $250 million, 20,000-plus seat stadium in downtown Sacramento.
