OGC Nice shut down facilities after "more than a dozen" players and staff test positive for COVID-19
OGC Nice have shut down all training and closed the team facilities after "more than a dozen" players and staff members tested positive for COVID-19 this week.
Club statement:
"More than a dozen players and members of the professional squad's backroom team have tested positive for COVID-19. Faced by a situation that also concerns its age-group teams, OGC Nice has closed the Academy and the first-team squad's area of the premises.
In order to prevent the virus from circulating, collective training sessions have been cancelled. All categories of the Academy from the Under-12s upwards have stopped.
A reopening is planned for the start of next week after more tests, in accordance with the health authorities.
The closure is happening during the final international window and while the amateur championships have been suspended."
