Barcelona are considering Raul de Tomas as an attacking option in the event that a deal for Memphis Depay falls through, reports Deportes Cuatro.

The pursuit of Depay has hit a number of stumbling blocks over the transfer window, with Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas claiming that the LaLiga club cannot afford to buy out the remainder of the Dutchman's contract. 

De Tomas - who shares the same agent as another Barcelona transfer target, Sergino Dest - would be a cheaper option for the Catalans. 

The Espanyol striker has been the subject of interest from a number of European clubs, including Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, and Roma.
