Sergio Ramos reportedly asked Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to sign his Atletico Madrid counterpart Jose Gimenez following Saturday's derby win.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos wants to line up with Jose Maria Gimenez in the Merengue defense, claims Don Balon.
The two defenders faced off at the Wanda Metropolitano in Saturday's Madrid derby, which Los Blancos won 3-1.
Don Balon reports that Ramos approached Real Madrid club president Florentino Perez after the game with a request to sign his Uruguayan counterpart.
Gimenez has formed a formidable partnership with compatriot Diego Godin in recent seasons since breaking through into the Atletico first team.
But the prospect of the Uruguayan swapping sides looks remote, as Godin's future is less than clear and Diego Simeone would veto any move that sees both of his defensive pillars leave.
