Police Seize Multiple Weapons From Car At Boston Bruins And Montreal Canadiens NHL Game
Police arrested a man and seized weapons out of a car in Gillette Stadium's employee parking lot ahead of Friday's NHL Winter Classic.
A Connecticut man was arrested on Friday after police seized multiple weapons out of a car in Gillette Stadium's employee parking lot prior to an NHL game between the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens.
Officials at the stadium notified police after seeing a man acting suspiciously ahead of Saturday's Winter Classic, which the Canadiens won 5-1.
Police investigated and arrested Matthew Bromson, 48, of North Granby, Connecticut, having recovered an electric stun gun and several sharp-edged weapons from his vehicle.
A statement on the Foxborough Police Department's Facebook page read: "This is an isolated incident and at no time was there a threat to Gillette Stadium.
"Bromson was taken into custody without incident and there were no injuries to any of the involved parties.
"This investigation is completed and there is no other information."
Bromson faces multiple charges, including trespassing, disorderly conduct and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.
