Following gold medals at the World Championships in Beijing, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Greg Rutherford were among those to win Diamond League titles in Zurich on Thursday.
Double world and Olympic champion Fraser-Pryce enjoyed 100metre and relay success in the Chinese capital and showed no sign of fatigue in the final race of the Diamond League season.
A time of 10.93 seconds ensured her first place, while Rutherford also maintained his momentum in the long jump.
Rutherford and Dendy Marquis both jumped 8.32m, but the Briton's second best effort of 8.27m was enough to see him top the standings ahead of the American.
Victory for Alonso Edward saw him overtake Anaso Jobodwana in the men's 200m standings and claim the title.
The Panama athlete's time of 20.03sec ensured a Diamond Trophy, while LaShawn Merritt gained a measure of revenge against Wayde van Niekerk for defeat in the 400m at the World Championships last month.
The American was quickest on Thursday, but it was Kirani James of Grenada who topped the standings as one of 16 Diamond Trophy winners, with David Oliver finishing second to secure himself the 110m hurdles title.
Another to add to her gold from Beijing was Tianna Bartoletta, who wrapped up the long jump title in Zurich despite finishing second on the day to Ivana Spanovic.
Elsewhere, a second-placed finish for Genzebe Dibaba gave her the women's 3000m title as Kenya's Jepkoech Eunice Sum eased to victory in the 800m - compatriot and three-time world champion Asbel Kiprop winning the 1500m title.
A throw of 19.91m handed Christina Schwaniz success in the women's shot put – the German having already won the title prior to Thursday's finale – while Poland's Piotr Malachowski was crowned discus champion despite losing out to compatriot Robert Urbanek.
Elsewhere, Qatar's Essa Mutaz Barshim was crowned high jump winner, while second place was enough to gain Kipchoge Jairus Birech the 3000m steeplechase title, as Zuzana Hejnova added 400m hurdles success to her gold medal in China.
Barbora Spotakova and Nikoleta Kiriakopoulou ended on a high, with podium-topping finishes handing them the javelin and pole vault titles respectively.
